July, Lake Tahoe

A month flew by! We made our yearly camping trip to Lake Tahoe again with the whole family. Then after two days at home doing laundry, the kids and I drove down to Southern California to visit my aunt and uncle. Here's a pictorial display of July....

Meeks Bay, Lake Tahoe.

Stringing pony beads.

Aunt Laura assisting with a forest fairy.

A forest fairy house made of bark and twigs. Hours of fun!

Beach at Meeks Bay.

Dinner time, telling Scooby stories.

Rafting down the Truckee river.

The car loaded for the ride home.

Dusk at Sugar Pine Point.

Southern California

A strange, yet exciting new addition to the Hemet Valley (or rather what was once the Diamond Valley), the Western Center for Paleontology.

Very cool skeletons of mastodons, mammoths, giant slothes and other creatures that were dug up when the Domenigoni Reservoir was built 10 years ago.

Time at the pool. I loved the hot breeze.

Aunt Carole and Uncle Frank with the youngsters.

I'm so happy for you that you guys got away and had such a fantastic trip.

We need to get a new bike rack. Your photo reminded me of this. When we were camping we saw one that was on top of the popup trailer. We need to look for something like that. Actually, we'd need two racks.

Great photos. makes me want to go to the beach or ocean ;o)
