Weekend with my Princess

Okay, I've decided to stop obsessing. I called our director this morning to see if there was any news. He said one family received travel dates, the other two (in addition to us) have not. It's likely that we will probably be traveling in early November now. This is actually good news because it means Kevin's parents will have returned from their Hawaiian cruise and will be able to come down and stay with the kids and my grandmother. Hopefully there will be more news next week. His contact that he receives his info from in out of the office until Tuesday.

So I have four whole days to relax and not expect a call. How nice! What to do? Make a tablecloth for my daughter's playtable with my new sewing machine, go apple-picking, pumpkin patch and corn maze, hat shopping. I want to put some time into getting the kids' baby books up to date. I just discovered K has two new 6-year molars coming in! She's not even 5 1/2 yet. Gotta write that down. Here's a pic of my little princess...

K's in her dress-up princess outfit. She's going to be a ballerina for Halloween. =)

yep no flush toilets or showers. i'm not sure how this is going to work but we're only a couple hours from home!

there's also a roadside camping supply store & showers about 10 miles away.

supposed to have meteor showers the weekend we are there...

Hope you get the call soon. My wife and I are waiting for our second trip to Ekat to get our son. I found your blog in a search on some adoption info. In reading your posts you sound just like my wife... I usually hear I won't call till... but somehow she always has an update before then. We had a good time in Ekat on our first trip. It was a little stressful with the language difference but found knowing please and thank you got us by fine.
