Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Today was my grandmother's 89th birthday! I took her out to dinner at La Fondue in Saratoga with the group of girls you see here. In the first row is Judy, my grandmother, and myself. The second row is Laura, Susan, and Veronica. We are friends, neighbors and family that my grandmother wanted to share her birthday with. It was a wonderful evening with two cheese fondues, grilled meats and 2 incredibly rich and decadent chocolate fondues. The most sinfully delicious event was dipping Snickers slices into the Milk Chocolate and Irish Cream fondue. Heavenly! (Although dipping the roasted garlic into the Mediterranean Cheddar fondue was a close second. I haven't approached Kevin yet tonight. =) The girls joked that next year for my grandmother's 90th birthday that we should hire a stripper, since last year we visited AsiaSF. I personally think nothing could be more satisfying than a plate of marshmallows and a pot of the Milk Chocolate/Irish Cream fondue.

The red eye tool left some of us looking a little bug-eyed. Plus the fondue restaurant had a very dark and intriguing interior. We are all illuminated like bats in a cave! =)

Sounds like your Grandma is in for an exciting 90th b-day. Make sure you show us all a YouTube of that one.

Just Kidding. I agree- skip the strippers and go for the chocolate.

Sounds like you had a blast! I've always wanted to go to one of those fondue places but we live in po-dunk and no fondue in our town of 6,500.

Your friend on the back row far right in the red shirt looks just like a former work-mate of mine from years past! Her name was Laura Nelson.
